Design characteristics of the TMJ Appliance
Aerofoil-shaped base – for joint decompression.
Tongue tag – stops tongue thrusting, grinding, reverse swallowing and other contributing factors in TM Joint disorder.
Tongue guard – controls the tongue position.
Double mouthguard effect – with vertical sides that limit bruxing.
